How to Generate Your Smart Credit API Keys

Generate your API keys inside the Smart Credit SupportLink+ portal so you can pull credit reports.

1. 1Go to supportlink-plus.consumerdirect.app and log in with your SupportLink credentials.
2. 2Once logged in, click on your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
3. 3A popup menu will appear. Select the "Generate Keys" option.
4. 4Your Client ID and Client Secret will be displayed. Copy both values and store them somewhere safe.

Never share your API keys with anyone. If your keys are leaked, deactivate and delete them immediately, then generate new ones from the same menu.

How to Add Your Smart Credit API Keys

Connect your Smart Credit account to Violation Scan Pro by entering your API credentials in settings.

1. 1From your dashboard, navigate to Settings in the sidebar.
2. 2Click the "Credit Monitoring" tab.
3. 3Paste your ConsumerDirect Client ID into the Client ID field.
4. 4Paste your ConsumerDirect Client Secret into the Client Secret field.
5. 5Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
6. 6You’re all set! You can now pull credit reports for any client.

How to Request Smart Credit API Key Access

If you don’t see the "Generate Keys" option in your SupportLink+ portal, you may need to request access first.

1. 1Log in to supportlink-plus.consumerdirect.app and check your profile menu for the "Generate Keys" option.
2. 2If you don’t see it, your account may not have API access enabled yet.
3. 3Fill out the access request form linked below. We’ll work with Smart Credit to enable key generation on your account.
4. 4Once access is granted, follow the "How to Generate Your Smart Credit API Keys" guide above to create your keys.
